Effective 2/2/2016, channel 33.2 (111 Cox) in Hampton Roads is now the American Sports Network...with 24-hr sports programming. I noticed that they have FB and BB rebroadcasts scheduled for off hrs and a live A-10 game this evening at 7.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of an evolution that will allow for viewing of not only more ODU broadcasts, but replays of other CUSA teams. and perhaps highlight shows, Coach's shows, recruiting updates and the like.

At the very least, it should limit the continual hunt to find which potential station has ASN content.

Which I believe you have to pay extra for... even beyond the sports pkg.
I don't know. I already have it.
Why pay extra when you can get it over the air? That's what I do.

Looked to see if DC has it. Not that I can tell
Always annoys me in info releases the school refers to Cox as "the predominant cable ".... blah blah blah, without so much as a whisper about where to find things on Verizon. Guess Cox pays for advertising, and they produce some games, so they get top billing.. Would be nice if ODU would at least mention Verizon.

1011 is the HD feed of 11. That is the home of CSN+ and MASN2 depending on the season. Cox also dumps their original programs/public access stuff there.
DC may be 480
At lunch I tried to check out the new network. The menu guide showed "Collage football" but the channel was still carrying the retro-TV of the GET TV network. ASN always seems strong on promise and weak on delivery.

Also, there is no HD for this channel on Cox, but 33.1 (Cox 2/1002 HD)is the alternative for showing ASN content.
I looked at 33.2 when I got home from work and it is still get.tv. was there a press release or something that said today was the day 24/7 sports started.
