This is a great rivalry because as the article points out throughout the history of MAC WBB BG and UT have dominated like no other teams (although I would give Kent an honorable mention).

In Cullop's first home game against BG, both teams were having great seasons and the outcome of the game had implications about the top of the MAC standings. As a result BG brought legions of fans filling up a few sections and the Rocket fans were out in force as well. Savage Hall had that packed house, real big time game feel that has unfortunately rarely been seen in Savage in recent years except for the last couple of games in the women's NIT Championship run. IIRC there were close to 6000 fans in attendance for that game and Savage was rocking.

Of course today both teams are somewhere in middle-of-the-pack and not serious contenders for a MAC Championship so I would not expect the same sort of turnout; nevertheless, I would not be surprised to see 4000 -5000 fans in attendance especially if a number BG fans show up to support the Falcons.
Obviously the title of the story is incorrect!!!!!!!!!

I DON'T RESPECT THOSE BIRDBRAINS AT ALL!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't care if Toledo ever played them again. The Toledo fans artificially inflates BG's attendance numbers whenever the Rockets are required to go to that God Forsaken place.

I'd trade UCinn for BG.
