This isn't a prediction. I know how good MTSU is and I have a lot of respect for their talent and their coach. I just wanted to point out how far Marshall has come since last season.

The Herd is a 3 point favorite tonight against a team that beat them by 40 last season in a game that wasn't as close as the score made it sound!
You guys are hot lately and a great home team. It'll be a tough game to win, but since Giddy has returned, we have been the best team in the league. Hope we can continue proving that. Here's to a great game.
This is definitely the most interesting CUSA game of this evening.

And no TV.....
This will tell us a lot about Marshall and MT. If MT wins it sets up a clear showdown with UAB for the 1 spot. If Marshall wins it will prove they are a legit contender. Before their last road trip I felt like Marshall got fat on a soft schedule but they looked good against Charlotte and ODU. Should be a great game.

It was thought that the MU vs FIU game would determine who was was a real threat and who wasn't for the Championship. Both teams are still in contention though. I do see this game as very important in seeding. Both Marshall and Middle Tennessee seem like top4 teams.

Marshall is good at home so I'm hoping for a Herd win.

Just wish the game was on TV. Should be a good one.
This is why I wish ESPN has part of our new TV package. At least we could flip on the watchESPN app on the Roku, Fire, Apple TV etc. and watch the game.

Yeah, that's definitely the main thing I miss from being in the Sun Belt; seems like every game was available on watchESPN (if it wasn't nationally televised).

Fox needs to hurry up and get on this streaming bandwagon!
irresistible force vs immovable object...

offense vs defense...

If CKD and Raiders get their way, it will be a grind. For the Raiders to win, don't think it can get above the low 70s.
UAB plays MTSU, Marshall, and FIU Home and Home in conference this year. I imagine the top seed will be decided on the court with no coin flips involved at all.
MTSU has some firepower. Plus Marshall is due a cold shooting game.

Just hope it's not tonight. Lots of excitement here. If you get to see the game, I think at the very least, you will like/appreciate Marshall's style of play. We're ahead of the curve on this one, at least I think.
MT defense is really, really good. I like our chances... good combo for us is if a team is good offensively, not so good defensively. We're super strong defensively and fairly good offensively. Can't wait for the game!
Marshall's defense is predicated on allowing opponents to shoot contested 2's. Can't let MTSU get lay ups or 3's. We are one player away from being complete that would allow us to play the style of defense we would prefer. Unfortunately we can't create one more viable, versatile big out of thin air to add needed depth on the interior.

What I like about tonight's game is that MTSU is a true test/indicator for Marshall. And Marshall will tests MTSU's strength. That's what makes for good, compelling matchups and potentially great games.

Go Herd.
GL MTSU, hope we give you guys a good game at least. Might be popping a lot of hope bubbles if you guys just throttle us, but can't wait to see how we match up against the top of the conference tonight and Saturday.
Very low scoring pace more than halfway through the first half...

Well, we're on pace to score almost 85...
MTSU 28
Marshall 37
Halftime
Damn y'all can pour it in when you get rolling. Need our D to step up in the second half and need some shots to start falling.
Well we've been crap on offense way too many unforced mistakes
