Well he's a 3rd rate candidate so its a match made in heaven.
Most of the reporters are 3rd rate these days.
He's hoping nobody watches without him there because it will be open season on Trump.
Trump, for all his faults, represents the only way forward for the conservative movement. If the paradigm doesn't shift it ends and it ends when Texas inevitably turns blue. Trump is garnering powerful support among the American working man. That support is going to potentially change the face of the electoral map. And, make no mistake, if it doesn't change blue domination is the only result.
Trump is a Republican but more than a conservative he is a populist. The new paradigm of populist versus identity politics is fine with me. Because identity politics beats crony capitalism. Obama proved that, twice.
If Trump does indeed back out of the debate, that's the beginning of the end for him. How are you going to deal with Putin if you think Megan Kelly isn't fair?

I think it is a shrewd move by Trump and a no lose situation. He raises money for Vets and does not have to risk looking bad in front of Kelly. He knows she will come after him again. The candidates left on the stage will make very little headway this close to the Iowa primary. He also is poking a sharp stick in the eye of Fox news...that is seen as pure evil by the Left. Trump is showing people how he treats his enemies. He is showing he is ballsy as fck.
Nobody is going to watch the debate without Trump.
