Quote:Patriots practice squad player J.J. Worton groped two women at a bar in Foxboro and knocked out one of their boyfriends early Saturday morning, according to a Foxboro police report.

Police arrived at the Foxboro outpost of the Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub chain after a complaint about an assault. Worton had already left in a vehicle with three other people, but police pulled him over and asked him about the assault.

Worton told police that he didn’t mean to touch one of the girl’s butts, and had punched the man in self-defense. From the narrative:

At this time I asked the light skinned male in the backseat where he was coming from. Initially he replied “Boston.” After several minutes he confessed that he and his friend had come from Waxy’s and that they got picked up. I identified him via a FL license as Jimmy “JJ” Worton. JJ told me that he accidentally “brushed a girls ass” when leaving the bar. He was immediately afterward confronted by her boyfriend (A&B victim [redacted]). JJ went on to say that he tried to run away from [redacted] but was forced to defend himself by punching [redacted] in the face, knocking him unconscious.

The two female victims, identified as [redacted] and [redacted] were able to positively ID JJ as the male who accosted both of them by grabbing their buttocks. JJ performed an indecent act that was not consented by either female.

Was he ever involved in this kind of trouble at UCF?

Yes, which got him suspended and nearly thrown off the team. One of the rare times I've seen GOL show any leniency. I would have thought it would have been a lesson learned, guess not.
Very similar incident(minus the groping) happened to JJ outside the UCF Bar Knight Library. He punched an undercover cop.

This guy shouldn't touch alcohol at all anymore if he wants any slim chance to play at a professional level again.

Interesting b/c weren't a couple UCF fans taking shots at a USF commit being charged with a felony? Knights in glass houses....

I wonder if this is going to affect his probation. Pretty boy like him with golden hair should be able to make 'friends' easily in prison. lol

USF fans never pass up a chance to take shots at UCF lol. It's a never ending circle.
Those women should have been honored to have those hands on their body. Can somebody photoshop JJ's diving to catch some @ss?

you are comparing issues after signing w UCF and the NFL to a guy committing a freaking robbery on an official visit to Georgia. If his judgement is that bad in that situation then the chances of him getting in trouble for something worse is very likely, maybe he can join the USF guys that were shooting firearms at dorm walls on campus.
JJ is just trying to adapt to Boston culture.

Make that former Patriots practice squad member, they get rid of guys who play for being late to meetings. What an idiot.
USF fans are like that annoying kid you grew up with. You know, the one that would push people in the mud while laughing, but cried home when he got tagged it.

Theres a difference between recruiting a player to come to your school when you already know he's been charged with a felony and someone getting in trouble for the first time ever while enrolled. That said, Worton is an idiot.

Wonk wonk, could be worse I suppose, he could've played with fireworks and blew off half his hand. People do dumb stuff when they've been drinking.

...but how is that different from Jose Jose who GOL looked the other way after being charged on multiple accounts? Bottom line is that kids often times make dumb mistakes ...and every school has them, including UCF. I don't blame coaches for giving these kids a second chance. It's the schools that give bad kids third and 4th chances that could care less about the kid and just care about winning. See Urban Meyer...

BTW...Worton is an idiot....but that was still a sweet catch. lol

If you are bringing up alumni, I see you JPP and raise you Brandon Marshall and Bruce Miller. However, I am not sure their girlfriends would disagree in comparing firework idiocy with the much more serious charges

BTW...JPP wasn't drinking. Believe it or not fireworks are dangerous...but the average joe getting hurt doesn't incite weeks of twitter fun.

Says the moderator who moves anything remotely critical of UCF to the smack board.

SOME....UCF fans remind me of than the holier than thou holy rollers politicians who condemn pre-marital sex and morals of those who don't agree with them, while their daughters are getting knocked up by the town drunk.

So I take it you're not a Trump fan? Or were you just recalling a personal anecdote?

Take the moral high ground and then criticize someone who has mental health issues and has given back the to the community. Nice
