meh... somewhere in Piscataway and in Chestnut Hill an accountant is busy counting all the TV and CFP money they are racking in.

Meanwhile, schools like my alma mater who are competitive in both revenue sports have to hear from people in Texas, Iowa and Kansas repeatedly say that we don't add value. Sick of this shyte!
Abandon the P5 and bring back the old BE guard. C'mon Cuse and Pitt... you know you want us (rubs nipples Austin Powers style).

ACC f'd up big time

Should've invited 4 teams back in 2011
Crying all the way to the bank I'd imagine.
Another hit piece by this guy who fails to mention that Rutgers has been to like 7 bowls in 10 years, played in the toughest division in college football and had cross over games against two of the better teams in the other division (Wisconsin & Nebraska). Not the best time to have a down year but lets not act like Rutgers now is the Rutgers of old.

Not really...it was about hoops too.

It wasn't a hit piece by a guy who regularly takes shots at Rutgers?

Rutgers has been delivering easy material for decades....not sure this guy has treated Rutgers with that much undeserved attention.

Going 1-7 in conference play with Rutgers schedule isn't like going 1-7 in most P5 divisions. They had probably the toughest conference schedule of any FBS team.

The piece seemed pretty accurate to me and anybody else that follows college football and basketball.

Is there ever going to be a year where Rutgers does not finish 5th or lower in the Big Ten East Division for football? Will they ever be able to compete with Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State?

What part of the blog post didn't you understand? It showed the abject losing of both BC and Rutgers in both FB and BB this year. Facts are Facts. Why are you focusing on just Rutgers FB?

Shake it off. Somebody has to finish last every year and some teams seem to do it more than others (see uk and Kansas). Work on basketball. Women's hoops are fine.

BC dug their own grave when they hired Bates from Miami in 2012. He almost singlehandedly destroyed our football and basketball programs, both of which were the class of the MAC for years.

Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State

Bama, LSU........??? Who else was great this year? Even LSU fell off halfway through the year.

BTW thats funny someone from a school actually called EAST Carolina making fun of Rutgers which is a much better school.

dgaf... I got my degree and I've got a good job but yes, Rutgers is a better school. I have no problem admitting that. My sister in law went to ECU and then law school at Rutgers. However, your athletic department has been a running joke for several years running.
The only part of the article I don't agree with is the hit on our new AD Pat Hobbs. The guy is cleaning house which for the most part is clearly badly needed and even more sorely overdue. It remains to be seen if he brings in the right people, but its the most proactive approach I've seen at Rutgers in the 13 years I've been around it. Otherwise, its pretty on point or damned close enough to it.

Meh, to date, BC has 8 winning seasons out of 11 it has played in the ACC for FB. How has SU FB done during this time?

Reading this blog, you would think BC loses every year, which is definitely NOT the case.

Like everything else, things go in cycles, despite what bloggers with an agenda would have you believe.
