Can't wait to visit their board and see how they spin that.
Two OT's
Lol. Yeah this only proves how GREAT Mercer is.

It was the OT game against us, it was the delay in the game(which seems like it would have helped them recover) It was conditions, it was the fact only 200 people showed up... Hmmm let him think of some more.

Maybe Western left the doors open as well and let a cold draft in.
Dangerous conference, I tell ya.
WCU's raucous fan base + Justin's Browning's middle finger to Bob Hoffman gave WCU an unfair advantage.
The refs at the ETSU game blew it so bad it impacted the WCU matchup for Mercer.
JustBuc tweeted information about a Mercer player's academic standing.
From the Mercer Board:

I think for the first time all season the team unraveled. Can blame the hangover from the OT game. Or the long trip with snow delays. but this is the worst I've seen Mercer look for a very long time (which shows how consistent they've been, and how spoiled we've been). Hopefully can go back home and regroup.
The road does blow. Our poor guys after the GT win...immediately stunk the court up.

And we have FOUR road games in a row. Ugh.
We need to go 3-1 on this trip.

Which is the "1"?

Well VMI is 1 we can't lose, the other 3 could go either way on the road, We need to steal at least 2 of them. I don't think he is saying we need to lose to a particular team, just that we don't need to lose more then 1.
I think that's a fair assessment. Losing 1 on the road is definitely possible. Hopefully 4-0 though!

If we can hold serve at home, and lose no more than 2 of the remaining road games, I expect that would be good enough for 1st place in the SoCon.

Given our recent close calls, it is more realistic to expect to drop at least 3 or 4 of the remaining games. But, even that should put us in the top 3 -- which is ahead of the expectations I held around mid-December.

The team continues to improve under Coach Forbes, and it is important that trend continues. We have seen glimpses of how good this team could be if they start to hit on all cylinders. Until then, Chattanooga remains the team to beat, and we must win our home game with them on Feb. 13th if we hope to win the conference regular season.
I think we will lose to either Furman of Wofford. I hope I'm wrong.
Both Furman and Wofford make me nervous, but I think I'm most concerned about Furman oddly. We CAN win all 4 of the road games, but it's going to take intense play at every single one. I hope our guys have it in them.
If the Bucs can win all 4 road games, there is a really good shot they can win the regular season. Going to be very difficult.
I'm worried about UNCG as well. We hit 15 3 's against them at home and still only won by 3.

Furman's "arena" has very weird sight lines and the Bucs have historically not played great there. I saw us lose twice there when I lived in Greenville.
