Dear Friends,
The Mid-American Conference, has suspended for two games, the officials that were responsible for the lack of calls in the Eastern Michigan/Ball State Men's basketball game. They will not be able to participate in the post season conference tournament.
Great that action was taken, but we still end up with a loss, and I'm not sure the punishment (if it is punishment), is sufficient.
Ken, that was the most disgusting officiating I have ever witnessed. Our game last night was officiated terribly too. I don't understand why the MAC attracts the worst refs. Some of our refs work other leagues as well. Somehow they are better when they work the Big 10, etc.

That's something, but I agree not enough.
Even after viewing the replay they got it wrong.
No a fit punishment is for them NOT to officiate any MAC games for two years until they can show they're competent.
Great news, Ken.

My guess is punishments are not handed out too often, so just by there being a punishment at all it is harsh.

This will be noticed by all MAC officials, and will play a favorable factor for EMU before the season is over. (Hopefully making up for the 2-4 hole they are in????)
Todd Williams, John Gaston, Robert Kruger are the refs for future reference.
