GET YO MILK AND BREAD!
Watch it stay 33 degrees and just be a sh!tty cold rain.
I bought six snow shovels today, and four generators.

Power outage is my biggest fear, followed by loss of internet/cable.
Y'all get your milk and bread. I'll stick to my beer and panchos cheese dip diet.

What size/type generators?

Nuclear, that's all I know.

No. Frankly, if my power stays on and I've got TV and internet, I'm good. If I need to go somewhere I'll wait til it melts.

Now, if the power goes off, all bets are off.

He was too short, so I knew it wasn't you.

Channel 3 used the word "blizzard" for crying out loud.

I loathe the media during stuff like this - they were hyping the crap out of it this morning talking about how bad everything was - the roads are fine.

They want a disaster so badly.

Yeah... That was over the line. Memphis hasn't experienced any blizzard-like conditions in MANY years. 3-5 expected inches is nowhere close to a blizzard.

This morning, they were imploring people to stay home and not get on the road. It took an extra 10 minutes for me to get to work.

The Panic Channel! They freak out when it rains.

They were probably sad they they couldn't give it some sinister sounding name. Likely they had the graphics all queued up and ready to go.
Channel 3 is by far the biggest offender when it comes to over-hyping the weather and trying to scare you. It really is pathetic.
I think Kroger is behind everything.

Yep. They are by far the worst I have ever seen.
It's not a local media conspiracy. Even the SPC was fooled by this. Changeover occurred earlier than expected and there was a huge snowband in Arkansas around 4:00 AM headed this way. It just disappeared like a fart in the wind.
