With the lost last night, some talking heads have mentioned the team is on a path that would leave them out of the tournament. They last missed the postseason completely in 94-95 and have only missed the tournament under Coach K three times other than that. Those three times were his first three seasons with him making the NIT the first season.
This is sorta off topic as it brings the question of blue blood vs non blue blood that the AAC mostly consists of.

Who knows? There are varying degrees of bubble teams. It's impossible to sit here and project where Duke will be but you have to think if they have the slightest argument to be in the tournament they'll be selected. The deck is stacked against us non-P5's so I've stopped even pretending to believe that college sports is fair and amateur.

When it comes to Duke or UNC I'm the darker shade due to my family. Other than that I'm an ECU fan, and that's been evident for a long time.

I honestly would love something like an undefeated banned SMU team vs Duke for the final spot in the field.

If there's any way possible to get Duke in the Tourney, then they (NCAA) will get them in
Just my opinion, but if Duke is on the bubble (do not think they will be) they will get in.
Of course they get in. They're Duke. Defending national champs. Coach K. ACC.
I would be in complete shock if they didn't.
Duke gets in even if they are not on the bubble...sub .500 basketball team. They could throw up 3 wins all year and get in.

Except I'm not a Duke fan. I just side on them cause if you're from NC you're on one side of the other regardless if you're a fan of someone else. You should know how this state is. If UNC, UK, etc was in the same position I would ask.
As I said I like discussing general trends and stuff like this. Of course since I do most ECU fans hate me cause I don't drink the kool-aid and kiss Peedee's ass and all that jazz. The ECU fandom has gotten toxic recently and I really don't understand what has caused it. Too much damn in-fighting in a time we need to be united.

It does make it a little interesting how bad of a profile they're putting together. They won't miss, but we'll all have a good laugh when someone like A+M runs through the SEC, gets a 2 seed and "earns" a 2nd round game against Duke.
