Ridiculous, but just what I predicted; we are down to #83 this morning on ESPN's RPI. We likely drop slightly whether or not we win our next 2 games. Our big chance to enhance our RPI is next Saturday against #57 UTA.
If the season ended today our RPI would be on the NIT at-large bubble. We had similar RPI's, a couple of times, under Shields and didn't get in. While, I believe a won-loss records like ours would be hard to ignore, not getting the automatic NIT or NCAA bid would mean we lost several more games.
