Party time. I was hoping to see App St in SM since the last time we had a home and home the game in SM was never played. I'll have to wait a little while longer.
So I guess this completely rules out a CCG for the SBC in 2016? Since if we did divisions it would be impossible for a round robin within each division. (assuming we did an East/West split.

It's worth noting that Benson said today that this is a one year schedule. League is working on schedules for both 12 and 10 teams in 2017 depending on the Idaho/NMSU situation. That means it's entirely possible a team you miss this year, you don't miss next year.

It wasn't happening in 2016 regardless.

I had not seen anything that said for sure yes or no on that topic. The SBC could do one year random temporary divisions if it would like to hold a CCG in 2016. Where there is a round robin in each division.
Sun Division
Georgia Southern
Arkansas State
South Alabama
Georgia State
Troy
Louisiana - Monroe
Belt Division
Texas State
Idaho
Appalachian State
New Mexico State
Louisiana
Two division winners play at the home field of the team with best conference record. Seems easy enough to me and gives an opportunity to see how much money a CCG would/could bring to the conference.

I have been looking forward to an away game at Texas State ever since we joined the Sunbelt since one of my best friends lives in San Antonio. Maybe next year.

Why would they work on a 10-team schedule for 2017? Contractually, we're still in the league that year.

How much evidence do we need that the plans are to eventually show Idaho and NMSU the door?

It's not Benson call either way.

I'm aware of that, but he doesn't operate in a vacuum. Oh wait, nevermind, it's Benson. My bad.

Sbc has it in contact that it can buy out 2017 if so desired
