We are 0-3. Here we go, cold again.
Burns in the game early. Wonder what is up with that? He and Johnson are in the game together. Who is playing point?
Both teams cold as ice the first quarter.
How about a little perimeter defense?! They are getting hot from the arc. We are letting a not-very-good team hang around. Not good!
We have done a good job on Eaves, their leading scorer. He is 1 of 5 so far.
Finally opening up a little daylight. Good. Let's put this one away early.
Hit 8 of the last 9 shots in the half. That will usually do it.
Halftime stats:
Shooting 51% to their 38%, and we are 6 of 11 from the arc. We are minus-3 on the boards.
They are 10 of 10 from the line, and we are only 2 of 5.
The big story, though? They have 10 turnovers. We have two.

Shoshi 12 points and 4 rebounds.
Only player with 2 fouls is Hill.
Eaves is the son of Jerry Eaves that played on the 1980 Louisville final 4 team. I couldn't go tonight. My daughter had a ball game. I'm listening now. Sounds like Lis is having a good game!
When Jalen is on he is unstoppable. He has a heck of a quick step and drive to the basket.
Pretty much just mopping up from here on out. Let's not get sloppy.
Ben Marcus with a Slam!!!
Trojans win! 15-1. Mark it down.
Six turnovers. Even against a good team that is pretty amazing.
Lots of our guys fattened their stats last night, with the lower tier of players getting lots of minutes. Three number stand out to me, though.

When you hold ANY opponent to 29.2% overall and 29.6% from the arc, you probably are going to win. That is outstanding!

We held their leading scorer, Frank Eaves, to 1 of 8 from the field and 1 of 5 from the arc.

Six turnovers.
Do we hold them, or do they just shoot badly?

It seems like more than a coincidence or statistical anomaly that every team we play shoots badly against us. We are obviously doing something right on defense. I guess I am not enough of an "expert" to see what we are doing different than last season, but it is sure working.
Thought Lis was very good last night. That in your face slam was something to see. That's the loudest I have heard the crowd at the Jack in a while, and it actually got a bunch of our fans out of their wheelchairs, I mean seats, and he altered a bunch of shots.
