This is our biggest test of the conference schedule so far, especially being a road game in a hostile environment. They have some length, but they don't go as deep on the bench as we do. My guess is we'll be grinding it out in the 2nd half... we're a better FT shooting team, but who know how we'll shoot in their arena.

Air time is 6:00 CST on CBSSN.
They've got the 4th best PPG defense in the nation. I think it'll take the most complete game of the year to win. GIT R DONE
I don't get CBSSN. Do they stream games online?
Getting this game thread going a little early aren't we?
CBS sports net does not stream any games online.
They haven't allowed more than 70 points at home since they last lost February of 2014. We are averaging 78.
Here's an excerpt from the ODU write-up about our game last season (Freeman & Bacote are back, btw):

Quote:The top scoring and field-goal percentage defense in C-USA allowed season highs in both categories, by a wide margin. No team had shot better than 49 percent against the Monarchs all season. UAB hit 70.3, including 75 percent in the first half.

The Blazers also were just the second team to score more than 70 vs. ODU. Western Kentucky had 72.

Count suddenly-surging UAB (10-10, 6-1) among those teams with more raw talent than the Monarchs. Long and rangy, the Blazers feature a quartet of versatile forwards 6-foot-8 or taller, and a slew of physically imposing guards who overpowered ODU at times.

Not that ODU didn't have occasional answers. Guards Aaron Bacote and Kellam High grad Trey Freeman were a handful in their own right, combining for 41 points. But the Monarchs got little inside production, and failed to match UAB's energy, particularly in the first half.
Tough environment but no worse than AU opening game and we sucked that game and still almost won. This is winnable but our guys can't afford any long lapses.
Yea I doubt this environment will be any tougher than auburn, no offense to ODU. The auburn crowd and environment impressed me.

I was there. It was nuts. We'll be fine tonight in Norfolk.
That game will probably be one the best (if not the best) Auburn crowds of the year.
According to the MBB twitter, Lefty Driesell spoke to the team during shoot around.

If the steak continues bet that we'll give a couple more teams their best crowds.
