If you knew the situation you might not expect much from it.
I forget what his crime was, but I don't ever expect a judge to come down on one of these athletes, especially if he is a really good player. If he's just a bench rider, then they might find him guilty. Just like that hog player that was passing counterfeit money. He sat out the games that don't count, and is now playing and I'm sure all the fans are loving it.
Another thing you don't see much any more are players flunking out. They just don't do it. And they are missing classes all the time. If I hadn't spent 33 years in the public education, you might be able to bull**** me and tell me kids are just smarter now days.

Between the school and the coaching staff, they arranged for him to be admitted into a Behavioral Health center to figure out what was going wrong. He had another breakdown on the day he was to be checked in, and started fighting. Jonesboro Police responded, and Livingston (Keep in mind he's like 6-10 250) punched one of the officers in the throat, landing him in the hospital.
Livngston was since diagnosed and treated and is now on medication to control what happened to him. When he got out of the treatment center, he frequently visited the officer in the hospital and has done everything he can to absolve himself of the situation.
Most of us do not expect him to face any jail time because there is a documented issue at play that caused this that Livingston could not control.

I didn't know his mental issues were public knowledge so I didn't mention them. As far as I know the court has not requested a mental evaluation, so it is highly doubtful that felony charges will be pursued. He is apparently getting the help he needed and that should be all that matters.
If that's the case, then I hope the kid can overcome what these issues are and have a productive life. I just don't want him to be instrumental in beating us next Monday night.

Anytime a person screws up, all they have to do is claim a mental problem, and they're off the hook. And, I think a person who hits a cop, or shoots someone, probably has a mental problem of some sort, but they don't need to be let off the hook with a "we know you didn't mean to do that, so we'll let you off with a little warning."
Too bad they didn't accept this mental disorder bull**** in the old days, or John Wilkes Booth would have gotten off for shooting Lincoln.
If old John Wilkes had been playing basketball, he would have been eligible for the rest of the season before they hung him.

I was told he was at the mental facility when the incident occurred. There was no reason for the police to be called. Hospital security should have dealt with it.

In this case, the incident actually occured inside the Behavioral hospital. That facility has their own security that is supposed to be trained for that stuff, but for some reason Jonesboro Police responded.
