VMI 2015-2016 Schedule

VMI 2015-2016 Roster
After that defense against UNCG, our post players need to swap out their sports drink for some Anglade. No reason the Bucs should let this one slip away, but teams as small as VMI have found a way to terrorize the post and boards. Stay focused, reward the crowd again, and the crowd will keep rewarding the Bucs!
VMI drummed us last January. Hope we can make up the AJ difference and get a solid W wire to wire without having to come from behind at home.
Bucs win their 5th straight and get to 10 wins with 15 regular season games remaining.

Would like to see an improved performance from our frontcourt.
We need to put Jurkin out on the perimeter during our transition defense, and instruct him ''hands up, don't shoot!''
What are you talking about, transition defense?
Defends against the three point shot, guards don't shoot, can't shoot.
Losing A.J.'s effort and energy knocks a hole in our defense. We lose help D and double down effort in the post. So our post players are more exposed.

Even though VMI does not pose much of a threat in the post, this is not too soon to pick up our effort there.

VMI 5-9 (0-3)
Best win was at Gardner-Webb 76-75, who are now 10-8 after a 5-8 start. Only other wins at home over Tusculum 88-76, 7-9 Presbyterian, Central Penn and Bridgewater. Loss at 8-8 Campbell 65-66. Close loss at home to Navy 62-68. Conference losses on the road to Furman and Western Carolina, at home to Wofford by 4 (61-65).

VMI was built to run Dugger Baucom’s unique high speed system and is struggling to adjust to a ball control attack with him gone. In contrast to last year, they are the second lowest scoring team in the conference (67.6 to Wofford’s 66.9), with a scoring margin of -3.7. They are 4th in the conference in three’s per game (7.9) shooting .332. Q.J. Peterson (2.5 on .336) and Julian Eleby (1.8 on .391) are the main gunners.

They have nobody over 6’6” 210. They get outrebounded by -4.1 (only Citadel at -8.8 is worse) and outscored by -3.7 ppg (only Wofford at -6.4 is worse).

Turnover margin is a second worse in conference – 0.79 and assist to t.o. ratio is a conference worst 0.8.

We owe these guys. Hope we get our first installment Monday.

Don't know how full the game will be tonight even with the time moved back. Weekend games always have better turnouts.

Moved back? Moved up? The wording can be confusing.

Regardless, now is a good time to remind everyone the starting time for tonight's game has been changed to 6:00 p.m.
Up 29-16. 8:16 left. For some reason I feel we should be up more.
Don't think we are playing bad.
Got your wish Rod. Up by 25 at the half.
47-22 that's what we need to do. Nowvkeep it up in the
second half. I don't want to win by 20 something and play an
Even half, blow them out both halves.
Holy Zeus, how many threes did the Bucs hit that 1st half? They could take the entire 2nd half off on offense, not another point, and beat VMI on defense alone. Poor VMI.

1 point at first media timeout looks like they want to test your theory.
this is what I didn't want to see.
Overall not a bad crowd for national championship and 6pm start. Pretty good energy all considered.
We can get to the rim anytime we want but we gotta finish.
Cromer On Fire!!!
Finally stepped on someone's throat.
