League Games only. Figured we might as well get this started as we are less than 2 months from next years schedule release

Tuesday:

AState/ULL 351K
AState/USA 287K

Notes: Both games were played opposite the Major League Baseball playoffs.

Thursday:

AState/App 200K
GS/App 190K
ULL/USA 160K
TXST/GS 107K
ULM/TXST 84K

As expected, AState and App drew the largest audiences, with the game between the two one of the highest ESPNU games in a while.

The rivalry between App/GS continues to do well in the ratings, and despite having a horrible season, the Cajuns still carried a solid number for their game against USA.

Texas State's numbers pretty much make it a certainty they won't be receiving a television game next year. My guess is Troy takes their spot. USA/App/GS/ULL/AState get the rest of the games.
How did we do last year by comparison

I was one of the 84K to watch that game and that was the worst college football game I saw all season. It will always be very difficult to get people to watch two really bad teams that don't really care if they win or lose.

I think we will be on TV next season. ESPN likes the market and they will bet on our new coach, Everett Withers, to turn the program around.
I thought maybe ULM/Texas State ratings might have been hurt by another big game at the same time but no, it was ECU/UCF so...just a bad night of college football unfortunately.

Even the NFL game that night was bad...Titans/Jags.
GS fans get ready to host a Tuesday night game vs. App next year.

Where will the Ark St./GS game be played, if it's in Jonesboro I'd wager that's the second Tuesday night game.

Where do these rank vs. other ESPNU Thursday night games?

Well atleast attendance will be better than most weekday games we had this year. Victims of our own success. Maybe with GaSt upsetting us it will be a weekday game at the dome? I hope we have only one weekday home game this year and and away game for Thanksgiving weekend.

I am thinking it was more to do with it being the two worst teams in the conference. I will be so happy to not get another home TV game on a weeknight.

It's in Jonesboro. That is what most of us have been guessing. It makes the most sense overall.

I saw a rumor that said the Ark St/GS game would be on Tuesday night and the App/GS game would still be Thursday. I hope that is true because a Tuesday night App/GS game would be so lame. The Sun Belt continues to shoot itself in the foot by taking these historical rivalries that have literally been handed to them on a silver platter and throwing them in the dirt because they are so concerned about getting them on tv.

There will be rioting if that happens. Our whole fan base looks forward to that game all year and then can't go? Plus, all the lost revenue that we can't afford. Just put it on ESPN3 and on a Saturday please.

They are on TV because those are the games ESPN wants.

I understand that the price of success at the G5 level will mean more mid-week games, but App has had home games on Thanksgiving weekend two years in a row, the conference needs to make an effort to rotate these games or better yet reward the teams that do have mid-week games by putting them on the road for Thanksgiving weekends.

We have too and it's killing our attendance numbers.
Perhaps that was part of "paying our dues" to enter the conference.

Hey Chiefsfan do you have access to all the ESPNU ratings for 2015 or a site you use?
Do these ratings mean ESPN will pull us from the mid-week game schedule?

Oh God, please, please, please, please, please....

Mid-week games are the WORST.

TXST has had weekday games ever since joining. It's an attendance killer. Hope we don't host another one.
I like the mid-week games, and I enjoy watching the other SBC games mid-week, and don't mind App having one a year. It's an excuse for a long weekend in Boone with the family.

If App has a Saturday home game I usually half watch a crappy ACC noon game at my tailgate, hit the App game, and watch an 8PM game at the mountain cabin if I don't need to head home for the night.
I'm ok with 1 HOME mid-week game and 1 AWAY mid-week game. I certainly do not like 2 HOME mid-week games.
If it must happen I would prefer:

Thursday night home game vs App State

Tuesday night away game vs Ark State
If we have to have a weekday game at home, it's actually better that it be App. The students and local to semi-locals will show up and the Atlanta crowd would be more likely to take a vacation day or make arrangements to be there for that one. It sucks because it takes away the chance for a huge Saturday game, but it doesn't hurt the average as much as a TXST or Troy weekday game would.
