A really big early conference game for our good guys against C of C at Kaplan this afternoon at 4 PM!

Don't want to start the CAA schedule 0-2 with both losses at home.

Charleston has been playing very good basketball and is much improved,
so we have to bounce back from the flat game against Towson with our "A" game.
Solid post, BT2.

We're favored by 6.

TU favored vs Hofstra.
One other Book has us favored by 5.5, Hofstra favored by 1 over Towson. We need an energetic showing. You know Barry will want to prove the 0-13 outing against JMU was a fluke.
Canyon is a stupid name. I blame Rick for that one. Here's hoping his poor form continues
Those underhanded free throws are no joke though. I expect some noise when he goes to the line.
Most of our fans including myself feel next year will be our turn. You will see 3 freshmen and no seniors on the court for us today. With that I think this young team has a decent chance to win any game the rest of the season and they proved Thursday they can win even when Barry has a terrible game. My Cougars will be even better before the season is over as they gain experience and confidence. We may or may not win today but it should be a tough game either way. On a side note the two oldest school in the conference and two of the older in the country playing today. A lot of people also do not realize we were the first publicly supported college. You were still privately supported back then.
Hold up C of C is public?
And W&M was private back then?

Have been public since we were founded and supported by the city in 1770.
Yep, he is correct.

Also, the Tribe needs to be ready for one of those freshmen in particular. Jarrell Brantley is a 6'7", 245 lb, Forward. He only went 13 of 14 from the floor and scored only 29 points vs. JMU on Thursday. Sheldon will probably have to body up on him.
I Believe that W&M became state supported in 1908, if memory serves me correctly.

You remember that? And, do you recall where you were when it was announced?
Ha ha ha.

Kinda hard for W&M to have started out public when we're 83 years older than the United States of America. I think UNC is the oldest public school.

Close, but it was 1906. May I recommend ginkgo biloba?
I did not say state supported. I said publicly supported. We were founded and supported by the city 1770 and they supported us until the state took over many years later. NC was the first state land grant college and supported by the state.
...and now back to our regularly scheduled program...

How old is Brantley? I hope Tarpey is older.
Brantley is 19.
Whitman is bootless. That's good news.
Canyon Barry and those kindergarten free throws...

:)
If they go IN, that's all that matters.
