No, but Georgia Southern did.

Georgia Southern is NOT a future opponent, which is what he asked.

Georgia Southern is a historic program with six 1-aa titles before moving up.

They're in a bowl this year. Reaching a bowl in your sixth year of having a team isn't too bad.

So, if he asked about Georgia Southern, why did you respond about Georgia State?

He asked if it was a future opponent. We do play GSU but it is Georgia St not Georgia Southern. You are just looking for any reason to beotch. Grow up

6-6 and going up against a 5-7 team and losing. You do not even have to be above 500 today to get an invite to a bowl.
Somehow, this simple thread got not-so-simple.

Ga Southern has been playing football for decades. They just became FBS in 2014 and won the Sun Belt in their first year. They were the ones on tv last night. They run the triple option. They are based in Statesboro.

Ga State began their football program in 2010. They became FBS in 2013, also in the Sun Belt. They also made a bowl game this year. They are based in Atlanta and play in the Georgia Dome. They do not run the option. I believe they run spread and throw it all over the field. They are the future opponents.

I thought GSU stood for Grambling State University. They've been playing football for a long time, as well. 03-confused

We also destroyed Georgia Southern 34-7 this year.
