I know this might be a crazy idea, but hear me out.

I would love to see the Perrysburg water tower just off of I-75 be converted into a "Greater Toledo" water tower.

I think it would be great if somehow the university and the city of Perrysburg could work out a marketing deal. Maybe pay rent for the ad space?

The new graphics could include something like Welcome to Greater Toledo. And home of the Rockets, or RocketNation, really anything UT related. And of course be Blue and Gold with UT's logos.

Impossible? Crazy?

Perrysburg is in wood county home to the other team, doubt if would bear rocket logos.

I like the idea. The trouble is that the City of Toledo and the adjacent municipalities are sort of friendly competitors, and by friendly I mean not necessarily friendly in every way. I don't know if Toledo could pay Perrysburg enough to do that. It would be akin to Perrysburg asking Maumee to paint "Welcome to Greater Perrysburg" on their municipal water tower. Too much independence and pride. Toledo could probably build a billboard, though. Maybe...

IIRC, years agot that other team tried to get their coty to paint the water tower in BG orange and brown and the city would have none of it.
