Never heard of him.
The bastards who killed football may as well claim him as another casualty. What Punkin Head would call a "triviality".
Won't forget what I was told by some in the know after the USM game last year.
But you just said you'd never heard of him.
They were talking about UAB's bright future.
This column really is just space-filler. It offers no new information and has been rehashed over and over. Scarbo offers nothing to support his position.
I do remember him. He was the guy who was hell bent on hiring an assistant coach to be our head coach. Even thought Joey Jones was a good idea to appease the enemy. No balls. 05-stirthepot

If we're looking for a coach Clark type after zero, the Jimbo Fisher situation never happens. Neil Callaway never happens. McGoo never happens. They worst decade of college football never happens. In short, we never put ourselves in the position our enemy wanted us in. lol
I'm not sure your point. Joey Jones ain't nothin' special.

Exactly. That sounds like a name planted in his head by one of the enemy. Someone who could come in and suck for a season and get rewarded when the program is shutdown. His decision making was questionable or heavily coerced by the enemy when it came to football. All other sports were in very good shape.

P.S. The two best coaches in football are in Alabama. The one we have and the one at Jax State. Guess where they came from. (High School). I know how some of you like to look down on that sort of thing.
Not to mention the OC that went out to Arizona or somewhere out there along with the DC who is now at Alabama.
And the guy at Jax State is the OC I wanted. Probably the difference between 6 wins and 7. Which would leave Watts choking on a sh*T sandwich. lol
Keep in mind that Briam hired Bill Clark.

Or, was he overruled by real blazers. ( yes I still consider him a blazer unlike Ray Watts)

Now I'm waiting on the episode of BlazerTV when the new AD fires Clark the first chance he gets and hires one of his relatives. ( other schools do that all the time.). lol
Somebody hired McGee the 1st go round when Clark was available.

If you think that would have saved football you are delusional. Bryant and St. John were going to do what they were going to do, no matter what.

Hiring Clark instead of the BOT approved Jones is probably the reason the program was shutdown. 05-stirthepot

Even with a 10 win team?
Thank you Scarbo for writing another UAB column. The other really good thing he did was resign and make Pumpkin head have to face the team and that video was gold to our cause.
