Uh...not seeing much bowl coverage...I mean there was a presser from the Bahamas where both coaches showed up. Seem to merit some info...stole this from the visiting teams site

Middle Tennessee head football coach Rick Stockstill addressed the media today in the Bahamas regarding the upcoming Popeyes Bahamas Bowl against Western Michigan. Following are his comments:

HEAD COACH RICK STOCKSTILL
Opening Remarks: First of all I'd like to start out by thanking everyone for what they've done on behalf of the Popeye Bahamas Bowl. I appreciate everyone in the Bahamas who is associated with this bowl game. It's an honor for us to represent Conference USA and Middle Tennessee by playing in this game. I'd like to congratulate Coach (P.J.) Fleck and his team for an outstanding year. They're a very good football team. I'm very appreciative of everybody and the opportunity to play in this game. I know our players are excited to get here for all the reasons everyone has stated. We're looking forward to this game. We've got a team that's going to play extremely hard and take pride in playing this game the way its supposed to be played. I'm looking forward to bringing our team down here and enjoying the Bahamas and having the opportunity to compete against a really good Western Michigan football team. Again I'm thankful Richard (Giannini) and Lea (Miller). You guys are unbelievable and the hospitality has been great and we look forward to getting here in a week.
I guess both teams are just having fun soaking up the rays!
I would call the WMU Bowl coverage awful but I'm not entirely sure anything that doesn't exist can be called awful. Would love to see an article highlighting some of the freshmen that are redshirting along with position coaches comments. I think a feature article on the O-line and D-line would be nice. Also, is Jimmy Kristof done for good or can he get another year?

I believe he is graduating tomorrow.

Also, interestingly, Zach Terrell announced that he is now "officially a college graduate from Western Michigan University"
Yes, interesting - wonder if Terrell will leave to be fifth-year graduate player elsewhere (a la Russell Wilson and others?)

But why would he stop RTB when next year is going to be THE year for Fleck and Broncos?

Bigger boat and bigger bowl?

Channel 3 is sending someone so we should get some stories from them starting late next week.

But not bigger oars to row! And that's what matters! #RTB!

04-cheers You can play while in grad school. It is not unusual.

Hello! Mcfly! We all get that.

Having graduated, and being a 5th year senior, he can also transfer and play immediately. See Jake Rudock and Oregons starting QB

I know that, slappo, I mentioned Russell Wilson (NC State to Wisky) just a couple posts earlier. Try reading before embarrassing yourself

To explain it for you - point is why would Terrell leave Fleck's program just before the reclamation is completed?
Re: original topic
PJ has increased the National coverage of WMU football.
While the Biggest lack of interest in WMU seems to be mlive management.

David Brown got two free years of Grad School with WMU basketball's money

More truth in what you wrote than you may realized.

The personality of PJ had raised the level of coverage nationally. And it isn't because of the kids nor their play. WMU is a 7-5 MAC west division squad. A far better team and prove program, NIU gets a fraction of the attention.

Local interest has increased. Partially because of the play but mostly due to all that intentionally swirls around the HC. Without the persona, interest would still be lukewarm.

The "national " attention reasonates locally. Anywhere else? It registers for a moment then like all things media it goes away unless it pays the bill. See Donald Trump as evidence.

Because the press is going to cover an up-and-coming team like WMU with an energetic & decorative Young coach. We're as good as 7-5 gets in the G5 realm (mediocre P5-level SoS). NIU though is recognized as a G5 power not having a stellar year this year with injuries and such -- nothing really to cover for a G5 team. I believe the press covers G5 with something different/exciting if said G5 team isn't at the top of the G5 realm.
Fleck says we've never had a "Top 25 win" in our "125-year history."

Western has only existed since 1903, first Football team was in 1906, and only been "Major College" (DI) since 1963.

Why doesn't anybody at the university try to help him with this stuff, correct him, reign him in?
The incoherent and nonsensical spin of Todd and PJ align.
Whatever they think is (their) reality.

Moving on to something important.

Anyone going to watch the Dem debate tonight?
