Currently Mt Union is 14-0 and playing St Thomas (MN) tomorrow for the NCAA DIVISION III CHAMPIONSHIP, 7 p.m. (ET) ESPNU.

Six games were shutouts with five games holding opponents to seven or fewer points. The offense has racked up 36 or more points in every game scoring more than 60 points in four contests.
It's generally the same 4-6 teams every year. Even D1 seems to have more turn-over year to year. Possibly as much a thin vetting as anything, like the one high school that has somewhat of a system in a good recruiting bed. Be interesting to see how the former White-water coach does in D1, didn't he pretty much own MU?

With the play-offs, I wonder if D1 isn't headed down the same road?

I don't follow high school football.
Mount makes its 19th appearance in the national championship game since 1993.
Are you trying to make us not like them? What about, "this is a Toledo Board" are you not getting? Why make MU look silly for attention by posting on the Toledo board?

I think we have another wanna-be rival or he thinks he's aggravating people and gets off on that kind of thing.

hmmm, new thought. Maybe he's just trying to confirm for us that the "process" doesn't translate because I'm pretty sure UT hasn't been in ANY championships during the MU regime. Am I correct on that?
I only root for the Toledo Rockets. One exception is when Army plays Air Force or Navy given my 20-year career in the Army. If Toledo and Army played, hands down I'd be cheering for the Rockets.

Army: SO CLOSE!!!! It's a bucket lister. Maybe I should just make it happen, help break the jinx.

Moderator should add "OT" to thread title.
Great to see the butt-hurt still flowing in Toledo fans

He was referring to college D-III football as high school football......
even though there are some pretty good talent at all levels being played.
Personally I think to coach a team to the Championship no matter what level of play is quite an accomplishment . My hats off to them for getting there.

I know. And I'm not sure if it is ignorance or arrogance to call D3 "high school football"

If you think the replies would be any different if they were talking about Baldwin Wallace, well then, you wouldn't be you. It's no different than discussions on the board in the past about off-topic. You've no room to talk.

No one has griped about OT threads as long as they don't prevail and they are noted as "OT."

It's a "Toledo Rocket" board, agreed?

Oh, sure, if this thread said "OT-Mt. Union", no one would be complaining? The thread is titled "Mt. Union", OF COURSE IT IS NOT UT RELATED.

People need to stop acting so childish and get over themselves.
