Finally the Broncos are going to get a broadcast team that isn't Junior Varsity.

Bahamas Bowl broadcast team!
Oh gawd, I HATE Mark May. He's a total d!ck - lol. But good to know we'll have real announcers, and not the likes that did the GA-Southern game (who were probably picked up from a PTA meeting to cover it)!

Bahamas Bowl broadcast team!

Bahamas Bowl is probably the most fought-over "minor" bowl among the ESPN booth guys. An Atlantis resort boondoggle on the company dime, can't blame 'em.
Would be nice to get John Saunders at a Broncos game.

It isn't like he would even mention that he is a Bronco on air.
Saunders is a studio host, doesn't do games (except NBA).

He'd be doing his patented P5 Phil Atio the whole game.
I remember the broadcast team last year said "Western Michigan" a few times during the Bahamas bowl game. It put a smile on my face.

I know that. I've been watching for him and never heard him mention Western Michigan once. I was just saying it would be nice to see him even host the pre and post game just once. Tim Allen is a better ambassador for WMU than John will ever be and Tim wasn't even a student athlete.

Unless the producers find some pictures of him in his hockey playing days.

He's mentioned it on the air already this year! :)
John Saunders called the International Bowl (with Doug Flutie and Craig James) when we played there back in 2007 or 2008. He mentioned his Western roots several times and they had a pic of him in the Bronco hockey uniform.

And of course I missed it.
On a related note, our officiating crew will be from the Mountain West Conference.
John Saunders mentions WMU just about every chance he gets. He's a very proud alum.

Saunders is not an alum, I.e. He didn't graduate from WMU. And he and his collegues did mention that he and Bernie played hockey at WMU. mentioned it twice.

John Saunders transferred to Ryerson University in Toronto and played for the Rams from 1976–78.

Bernie is an WMU Alumni.
John Saunders make references to WMU frequently! What are a couple of you guys smoking? Today's broadcast team also made reference to Mo Davenport, also a WMU alum, who happens to be a big shot at ESPN. He may even be in charge of programming and could be the broadcast team's boss in some way.
