If Monmouth wins their conference, they'll get a good seed in the NCAAs. They have wins over UCLA, Notre Dame, and Georgetown.

Seriously. That 05-06 Bucknell team had a decent resume, and they got a 9-seed without as many key wins and playing in a weak Patriot League. MAAC's usually got a better pulse running through the top of it...if Monmouth runs wild through it, a 7 might not be out of the question, if their OOC wins hold up.

Monmouth is playing for a spot in CAA or better.
NAIA almost got another Southland win last night...

McNeese St. 77
LSU-Alexandria 72

LSU-A up two at the half of that one.

Tenn-Martin 82
St. Louis 76

UTM up 13 at the half, also taking it on SLU's court. Anytime you want them, Big East...

But it isn't like SLU is much good this year. Brighter days ahead.
Mary Washington 40, William & Mary 33 — H

Mary Washington is a D3 school in Fredericksburg, an hour south of D.C. and about two hours northwest of Williamsburg.

Crazy. That's UIW's first win of the season over a Division I opponent, and they lost to an NAIA team on Tuesday night.
Grand Canyon 52
San Diego State 45

GCU is still not yet eligible for the NCAA Tournament; they've got another year or two of transition to go.
UNC Asheville 79
Georgetown 73

Exactly what in the blueberry f***muffins is wrong with Georgetown this season?

03-shhhh I want to see how far they fall. Then they get to be the sneaky submarine in Big East conference play. RPI torpedos away!
Rice 90
New Mexico 89

UNM was up 15 points with six minutes to play, and lost after they called a timeout at the end of the game when they were out of timeouts.
Northern Iowa 81
#5 Iowa State 79

Second top 5 win for UNI

Second top 5 win for UNI

OSU 74 @ #4 Kentucky 67
UNI 81 @ #5 Iowa St 79
Utah 77 @ #7 Duke 75
#17 Butler 74 @ #9 Purdue 68

Strange that this might be one of the best non-con hauls for the conference, and it's Rice's. UNM's numbers will get a decent bump because of that UNI thumping.

On the other hand, Rice was sub-200 RPI so those results offset.

Rhoades is building a program on South Main Street. If Rice holds onto everyone, the Owls will be one of the best in C-USA next year.

With so many bids between the likes of UAB, WKU, ODU, and UTEP, it's tough imagining Rice getting ahead of that. But, I've thought more of CUSA over the years than deserved, so anything's possible.
