Tulane's OOC schedule is one of Rick Dickson's (announced he was retiring in May 2016, replaced this month) last touches. We had Miss State on the schedule, he got out of the deal, and Tulane was supposedly replacing them with Ole Miss. Instead we ended up with UMass, which has zero interest to most alums outside of the few from the Northeast that actually follow Tulane Athletics.
The weak OOC should be taken advantage of by new Coach Fritz. With better discipline and solid special teams, this disaster of a team could have easily been 5-7 or even 6-6. We may or may not get to bowl eligibility in 2016, but we're a whole lot happier than we were two weeks ago, with Curtis Johnson and Rick Dickson in the two most important positions in the Athletics Dept.

Biggest OOC game in 2016. A game UH can win vs a pre-season highly ranked team.

Looking at those schedules I see the possibility of once again multiple teams being 4-0 or 3-1 entering conference games

That open 9/10 date is when the annual Southern Heritage Classic is played at the Liberty Bowl (Jackson State vs Tennessee State). MEMPHIS is always on the road the 2nd Saturday of September.
However, as you can see, the OOC games are locked with dates. So, MEMPHIS will either have a very early bye week OR play at a conference opponent on 9/10.
I checked the OOC schedules for our four AAC road games - Tulane, SMU, Navy, and Cincinnati. The Middies are the only team with an open date on 9/10.
So, I fully expect the opening AAC game in 2016 to be MEMPHIS at Navy on 9/10. It is a road game I plan to attend next season.

I like the schedule. OU to open the season. A gimme with Lamar. It will be fun to have Louisville visit, definitely the biggest OOC game to date at TDECU. And a fun roadie to San Marcos. I don't know the date, but guessing it'll still be warm enough to turn it into a fantastic weekend on the Guadalupe River.
