App State versus Ohio 12/19 5:30 ET
Feel fairly confident App wins here. Ohio is arguably a mid-level MAC team overall even though they finished second in the East. Don't see them moving the ball well on App's defense. From watching the MAC I am confident GS and App have more speed despite having FCS players.
App wins 27-13
Georgia State versus San Jose State 12/19 7:00 ET
Don't know much about SJSU, but being a 4-4 MWC team this is a win we need to get. Hope State's appetite hasn't been quelled.
State wins 34-27.
Arkansas State versus Louisiana Tech 12/19 9:00 ET
May be the safest bet of all the games. StAte really has been playing very well…have to give them that.
StAte 34-17
Georgia Southern versus Bowling Green 12/23
Time to pick ourselves up, wipe the blood off our knees and finish the sprint to the finish line. If we play up to what we are capable they won't be able to stop us (see comment in the App-Ohio game). The bad news is BGSU is very versatile on offense and we will probably have a hard time stopping them.
Georgia Southern wins 41-35
I would agree that Georgia Southern got the toughest opponent.
I'm sorry to say this but Georgia State torched you through the air, App was effective enough, and WVU went over the top time and time again. Playing one of the top passing teams in the country does not bode well for Georgia Southern unless your coaches use the next two weeks to conjure up a completely new plan to stopping the pass.
If we go 4-0 in bowls... We would very likely win the conference bowl championship award from the NCAA on which conference performs the best in bowls. We almost won in a couple years ago.
I totally expect to be blown out.
App beats Ohio 44-21
BGSU beats Ga Southern 35-24
Georgia State beats San Jose State 34-17
Arkansas State beats La Tech 35-28
Remember how we had no chance against WMU because we got blanked by WVU?

WVU>Georgia State - WMU<Bowling Green = Curb stomping
Don t sell us that short. I fully expect us to show up and play well. We may not win but I don t expect to get stomped
Eagles have a chance if you can keep BGSU off the field with your running game. Could be a nice shootout to a la GS/ODU in the FCS playoffs
What other teams in the MAC run our kind of offense though? We "can" do ok against the pass, but if they haven't come across a run offense like ours... who knows?

Kinda why I think it could be an ODU like game for you guys. Both teams could struggle because of the other team's offense and whoever makes the key stop or causes a turnover, wins
nothing against GS defense, but BGSU qb can really throw the ball, probably going to move the ball up and down the field, but I also feel confident GS will control the clock and limit BGSU touches. If GS can run the ball, and atleast complete a few passes that moves the chains. GS 34 BGSU 24, but if BGSU stacks the line, stops the running game, and forces GS to throw, BGSU 42 GS 21
App should win easily, but we have never been to a bowl, and you never know how the team will play in this new situation. I think we will make a lot of mistakes, and Ohio will take advantage, still, App pulls this out, App 24 Ohio 21
I think GS has finally found their game, and is the hottest team in the SBC, like App if they can control their emotions, and keep the mistakes to a minimum, GS 34 San Jose St 28
Didn't help today that Ark State lost 2 players on a drug bust, but, I don't think it will matter, Ark State 41 La Tech 31
App State vs Ohio... I think App handles Ohio pretty easily. See Troy vs Ohio 2010 New Orleans bowl 48-21
stAte vs La Tech... Hoping I'm wrong. Please prove me wrong 41-31
Ga Southern vs Bowling Green... Again hoping I'm wrong. BGSU has one of the best passing attacks in the country. And GS has struggled big time against the pass. 38-31
Ga State vs San Jose... Really could go either way, but GSU has a lot of me momentium going into this one. Don't let San Jose's 5-7 record fool you. They got some play makers 38-34
How's Breida coming along? Without hi I see GS limited like they were against GSU. Ramsby is good but I think he complements Breida

Our defense hasn't given up 40 points since USC. If La Tech pulled it on us, there would be no choice but to tip our caps. If we play to our capabilities, we win. Even without Stone. If we screw around and try to play half a football game like we did against Idaho, South Alabama, and ULL back in October we get beat.
App State 24 Ohio 21
BGSU 38 Ga Southern 35
Ga State 28 San Jose State 21
I think Ohio has the team to give App quite a challenge. We saw against South Alabama Saturday that App still has the ability to just turn it off for a couple quarters. Meanwhile, Ohio is actually pretty darn good. I think App wins, but not without some issues.
My concern for Georgia Southern is that if Bowling Green is able to game plan and shut down the run, it will get ugly. However, I also know that BGSU won't have their head coach, and any Arkansas State fan can tell you playing without a head coach can cause issues in a bowl game.
I really don't know much about San Jose. My guess is that they are capable defensively, and Georgia State probably won't be able to just run over them. I think the Panthers win to send Arbuckle out a winner.
I won't predict AState as usual.
App State 41 - Ohio 38
App needs to get healthy. We ran the ball fairly easily in the 2nd half. I think Ohio makes a late run but falls short.
LaTech 45 - stAte 38
LaTech has a pretty good offense and stAte may not be able to post bail for their DBs. This is the one I'm the least confident in though.
BGSU 40 - GS 27
Matt Johnson leads the nation in passing offense. I think he picks apart GS's defense worse than Arbuckle did. I also think they may have too much time to prepare for the Triple option.
GaSt 28 - San Jose 17
5-7 teams shouldn't go bowling. I hope GaSt shows them why.
It's so strange watching teams convinced that Tech will hit over 40 on us. Has anyone seen our defense?
I mean, I guess its possible if things go crazy, but Chris Stone is not the biggest loss in the world. It sucks, but we had two all conference DE's for a reason.

No word yet. I'm thinking its a game time decision.
