at least Benson won't be able to keep him from playing now.
idiots isn't a strong enough word, thanks for letting your team down and perhaps ruining your shot a the NFL, question, does this mean they will not play in the bowl game?

They are Seniors, so the good news is we lose them after this next game anyway. Rumor is they were busted while hanging out with a former player that Anderson had kicked off this summer for drug use, after being specifically warned to stay away from him.

We're assuming they'll both be booted off the team, Anderson has a zero tolerance policy on drug use.

Officially, no word from the school. Can't be word until Anderson visits with the players, and he's out recruiting right now.

Just for the record most people have a different view than me on this but our drug laws are an utter failure.

i haven't seen what they were charged with but if it was weed then it's something the majority of college kids at least try and that many partake in just like college kids drink. i don't smoke but i know many responsible people that do. it would surprise you at times which of your co-workers and neighbors smoke on occasion.

i believe it will eventually be legal in the rest of the states. it's not the issue it was during nancy reagan's war.

i'm not advocating handing out weed during freshman orientation. i just believe it's much ado about nothing in this country.

if all the bowls piss tested every single player RIGHT NOW there would be a lot of bowl matchups with tons of players missing.

Does the NCAA govern bowls? I guess I'm asking if the NCAA has the authority to prevent them from playing in the bowl or if that'd be left up to the institution?

From the A-State message board

“We are aware of the unfortunate and disappointing incident that occurred this morning with Chris Stone and Tyler Trosin. We have notified their families, and we are in the process of gathering all the information. Once we have all the facts surrounding this incident, we will move forward accordingly.”

Coach Anderson and the Arkansas State Athletics Department will have no further comment on this situation while further details are being obtained.

welp.....there goes any shot for them to coach fau.
What's next? They gonna comment on how hard it is to get to Boone?

Idiots.
Yeah, it was possession of Cocaine. They were also caught with Marijuana supposedly, but Cocaine is a far more serious charge.

i don't hear a lot about cocaine use like i did back in the 80s. seemed to be everywhere back then. the big one i've been reading about is heroin making a comeback. with the crackdown on pills there's a lot of folks dying from that.

sorry to hear it for both young men.
As a kid I was really into hunting and fishing and had time for nothing else. When I turned 17 I discovered crack and haven't been the same since.

Cocaine Use in Arkansas is a big no no here., Rated as High as meth use. Possession of it is a Class D Felony. Both players face 6 years in State Prison if convicted.

Unfortunately, this isn't Boca Raton, FL where using it can get you a job as a head football coach.
Dumb and sad.

EDIT: After reading what they were caught with, I redact the previous comment.
