Marshall (0-6) lost to James Madison (7-3) 107-84.

FIU (4-5) lost to FGCU (5-4) 84-76 in overtime.

The bottom half of the conference is now a combined 9-43 (17.3%)
Southern Miss has the 2nd best CUSA win so far. La Tech over Ohio State is first. Wow.

USM may be turning a corner. They had a chance to go into overtime against Alabama a few days ago and then beat NDSU by 14. Pretty good week for their MBB team.

What is really terrible is this:

25% of our conference has an expected RPI of over 300.

I watched ever minute of the Bama game. Southern Miss is really really bad. I'd be shocked if they won 2-3 more games.
Anyone who loses William Carey, a lower level NAIA school does not get to claim the second best conference win. Us over Illinois State tops that one.

29 3 point attempts for each team. Bama completely sold out and played to their style. The eye test isn't the best measuring tool to go by but you can watch Southern Miss and see quickly how they are one of the worst teams in the country.
USM will take us to the wire. They are just good enough to beat anyone and ruin their season and bad enough to kill the league RPI all on their own. (They will have help, see FUs, UNT, Charlotte, and UTSA)
I don't doubt that, I just don't believe that their opponent in the mentioned game are world beaters.
Bama was coming off good neutral site wins over Wichita St and Notre Dame. They're not a great team but they are far from the ****show USM is.
I would agree with that assessment.
UTSA lost to Texas 116-50 tonight bump...might be the worst loss in conference usa history
