If true, this news is pretty surprising. Im thinking ECU must already have someone in mind. Otherwise, it wouldn't seem to be a good idea with so many openings already well down the hiring path--plus several good prospects are already off the table. Lincoln is the only one that really comes to mind. A surprisingly aggressive move by ECU. They are usually a little more conservative.

Completely out of nowhere. There were a few message board posters that wanted him fired but even that was far from a consensus.
