The Independence Bowl against Missouri? Yes!

I just hope it's not the Bahamas Bowl. Brutal attendance and bad TV slot (Christmas eve).
Man I hope we get that Bahamas game.
Bahama Bowl is worst choice. Maybe even worst than going back to Idaho in the winter
Dont necessarily care about where they go, just want to get the elusive bowl victory
If we do win our bowl game, not only would it be the first bowl win in WMU history, but I believe it would also be the first time in WMU history that we've won at least 8 games in back-to-back seasons.

Certainly lacks some energy you'd see in a stateside game (iirc, no bands traveled last year?). But the TV rating was actually better than I thought it'd be.

Our band likely wouldn't travel, either, strictly from experience. It'll always pull decent ratings as long as its the only game on that xmas eve afternoon slot.

I hope the team has started to get passports just in case...
The Middle Tenn board says they have accepted the bahamas bowl bid and it seems like to them we will be their opponent.

Looks like that is the case, as everywhere i'm seeing has them listed instead of their conference. Part of me is wondering if the school didn't set the thing up with the Lions game thursday to offset the band and such not being able to go to the bowl game...

*puts on tinfoil hat*
The Bahamas would be a nice reward to the players and could not hurt recruiting.

Don't know much about Middle Tennessee State.

Regardless of where we go, let's hope for an opponent we match-up well with.
We should beat MTSU no problem.

Looking at MTSU's schedule and don't see anything that impresses me.

However, MTSU fans would likely say the same when reviewing ours.
Looks like they were a hair-width from beating two P5s (Vandy and Illinois).
Middle Tennessee State -- I would say Vegas would be fair to give us like a 3pt spread.

PROS:
- Beat Marshall
- Almost beat Illinois (comeback came up short)
- Almost beat Vandy (last 6 minutes Vandy scored 2 TDs to finally take the lead & win)
- Scored 70+ on FCS-level teams (Charlotte isn't FCS, but pretty much is; shows their strong offensive power)

NEUTRAL:
- Lost to Alabama 37-10
- Beat real weak teams soundly

CONS:
- Crushed by LA-Tech 45-16
- Crushed by W.Kentucky 58-28

Their "Big 3" (1-2): Marshall, LA-Tech, W. Kentucky. Our "Big 3", we're 1-2 too: Toledo, NIU, BGSU

Looks like a good match up to me. It would be winnable too. I just don't see WMU beating Boise State (8-4 MW) this year although the idea of a Bronco Bowl would be fun.

I think every MAC school does that before each season since it is a Conference tie in game.
