Hey guys, now that the season is over in the Glass Bowl, my understanding is that the East Side renovation was to begin immediately, can we use this thread to start updates, pictures, etc. Anyone have any updates on that please post here!
Too bad they didn't start it on Friday. It would have save me the trouble.
I haven't seen/heard anything since the Blah article a few months ago. Anyone have any update???
Coaches' dining room will have a revolving door.
We do have $200,000 coming from Iowa State...not much, but it may pay for restroom and concession stand retrofits!

My understanding is the total project cost is just shy of $4 million dollars and those items are included.
I had heard at one time that the MAC was several years behind in dispersing accumulated bowl funds to the member schools.

so all the money we prostituted to have weekday games in November hasn't even been paid out? Shouldn't Toledo and NIU be getting the bulk of that? NIU for the teams they put out there and UT for all the lost revenues as one of the perennial attendance leaders. We have had to suffered the most with that stupidity.

Every year I become less of a UT fan....no question about it. It's much easier to just watch on TV.

I also understand that the debt to renovate savage arena is retired this year on the balance sheet so this opens up revenue that used to go toward debt.

Not sure about the TV Blood money, but this was bowl money that is split among all MAC schools and in some cases funds to reimburse schools for expenses occurred on their bowl trips.

Some of you will recall the crew moving through the lower section of Savage during the last few minutes against EMU, pulling hand rails out and stacking them on the track. Wasted no time on THAT renovation.

Well, at least we know it didn't collapse due to the weight of expectations.

YPSILANTi -- An inflatable dome collapsed at Eastern Michigan University Sunday morning, forcing high school soccer players and parents to scramble to safety.

Officials said no one was injured in the collapse at the Ypsilanti school. EMU spokesman Geoff Larcom said in a statement that the dome’s fabric split around 8:30 a.m. from "east to west" in the facility, causing the air-supported structure to completely deflate in just a few minutes.
