I want a punter for Christmas. I think we are in good hands with Kirtly kicking FGs.

I agree I think Kirtley will get the job done. We need a solid punter.
This is a little surprising. I know Ziffer want to be the kicker, but toward the end of the year (when we quit the rugby style) he was punting pretty well.

I'm hoping for a kicker that can consistently put it in the end zone. Our kickoff coverage could benefit from some touch backs, but mostly better hang time.
did Kirtley get on scholarship yet?
Do we have another punter? Cant remember.

Pulisic has punted but he's leaving too.
We have some kickers just not worthy yet

20 Davis, Brad
16 Fraser, Dalton
25 Kirtley, Chris
39 Cervi, Jarrett
There is a D3 semifinal game (Wisconsin-Whitewater vs Mount Union) on right now and I've seen a kickoff that went out the back of the end zone, a 46 yard field goal and a 57 yard punt! Offer these guys NOW!
Satchel Ziffer offered and accepted a full scholarship to Boston College of the ACC.
Guess they saw something our staff didn't, but while BC isn't FSU I hate that we lost a kicker to the ACC.

Well he was offered to have his Masters paid for here. He decided that it wasn't the right fit and looked for schools with top notch MBA programs. Had less to do with football and more to do with his choices in a professional sense after football is done. Very mature decision.
Good for him. Kind of like the Dmitri Batten grad school transfer. Wish him well and hope he gets to see the field. Hope the Master's program he is pursuing sets him up well for the future.

Cant blame him. Many of us talked trash about his game this year. He had relatives read these boards. Now we have no kicker with experience. I didn't think he was that great either, but regardless, we now have to hope BW goes out and recruits a good one, with a scholarship if needed.

And Batten went to BC too....

Wait a minute, is Boston College making us their 'development school'!?!

j/k, glad to hear Ziffer was able to get the scholly offer. Hope he kicks butt there. Wish we could've kept him, as he was a good kicker, and was on the 'cool names' first team with Poncho Barnwell and Oshane Ximenes.

My guess is that we will be place kicking as opposed to punting.
I watched the 5A and 6A VHSL State Championship Games this past weekend. We got HS kids right here in this state that can kick.
I think we are good at kicker. We need a punter now.

I think we still need a kicker who can get touchbacks.
