He has an NFL Pedigree. Got DWill to come to Memphis. Is he being considered for our coaching position, assuming Fuente leaves? What are your thoughts regarding him?

Go Tigers!

Been away from the college game too long. That would be particularly bad for recruiting.
That would be interesting. He may cost more than we would want to pay someone without HC experience.

We need someone who is ready to hit the ground running, quickly assembling a good staff and salvaging what should be a good recruiting class.

About the only person we could hire to pull that off would be Odom. And maybe if Missouri grabs another HC quickly that can happen. Other than that, there may be some difficulty in getting someone to commit as quickly as we want. There's a buttload of decent jobs open right now. USC or LSU could end up snagging someone from another decent school, opening up two more decent HC jobs. Alabama is likely going to need to replace both coordinators.

Plus, Fuente isnt gone just yet. What happens if VT backtracks and wants to look at Miles?

Gr8 point! VT is a better job for Les! I was hopeful of FU' wanting to build a legacy.....I like his coaching style tremendously but was starting to get beyond it with other up & commers

Please not this again. No love for Tim Rose or Joe Lee Dunn?
I think RF might work, but I would think the NFL has him now.

How about John Thompson or Kippy Brown?

Why not Tommy West? I mean, the resources are in place now ...
Fichtner applied for job when Fuente was hired. Maybe he'll try again.
I believe we would be good with Randy.
Let's get to the process first, then maybe revisit Fichtner.
