Crazy that Rice now has even less depth than last season, with only 8 scholarship players available. Get well soon Marcus Jackson and Chad Lott!
Why is Mencey still starting? At least he's rebounding today, but for the season he is something like 3 - 25 from the floor, with only 1 - 2 assists.

Drone was solid last game, but as is usually the case with him, he disappears after the first 10 - 15 minutes of the game.
With Rice football's implosion, I wonder if any of the football players will join the basketball team for the remainder of the season. Jackson Tyner was all-district (from his riceowls.com bio) and Isaiah Edwards also played through his senior year ... though it is hard to imagine him playing press basketball at 6'8" and 380 lbs! Kind of the yang to the departed Pollard's ying.
First time this year we could have three guys with 10+ points at halftime. So far: Evans 12, Egor 10, Cashaw 8 In limited minutes. And ML-E now has 6 in limited minutes.

Give him a year or two of further development, and ML-E will be a triple double threat every game.
Bishop simply cannot buy a basket. He was gun shy last year; I can only imagine how little confidence he has in his shot right now.
