Any chance on this happening? Seems like a pretty good fit imo!

Rob

Let's see how the fishing is tonight.

Fishing? Asking a serious question Mr. Rob.

Yawn
I don't hate the idea. Certainly a big name, known by everyone across the country. Keeps Memphis football in the national spotlight.

Don't know if he would be as successful as Fuente, but recruiting should be better than it is now. The rest of the state would absolutely hate us.

Rob

You should hate the idea. It shouldn't even be an idea.

Lol, they already hate us. May as well give them a good reason.

Why?

The way I see it, there isn't a candidate we can realistically get with a better resume...

Would be a "home run" hire IMO. Don't think it happens though.
Kiff be fun

Nick Saban appears to be bored at Bama, only so many times you can win the national championship before you get tired of it. Maybe he's looking for a new challenge?

He's never been successful anywhere. I'd rather take a chance on someone who hasn't proven to be a loser head coach who will leave you the first chance he gets. A fanbase that still ridiculously hates Cal wants Kiffin. Can't make this up.

The rest of the state already hates us. If he were successful, it would really irk UTK fans.

Actually u can...it's been put out there.
Let's face it, any coach worth having is going to be on the first bus out of town when bigger programs come calling. That's just the position we are in for the foreseeable future. We aren't going to find a Patterson that wants to stay here and build a legacy. We just need to try to get the best possible candidate we can to keep the momentum going.

I would agree with Rob on this one. I can't imagine ANYONE thinking his azz would remotely fit in here. Just my opinion though.

This.

This times 100.

The guy does borderline inappropriate things. A Lot. It's a pattern. I could list them, but it would lower my vitality.

But if we want a guy that most of us would never be tempted to love, or declare a saint, then Lane Kiffin is our guy. Pretty much everyone but our friends in east Tennessee got really glad when he left, though.
