A Rice friend is marrying another Rice friend after 15 years of dating, and I'm trying to plan a bachelor party.
What I really want to do is go to Cuba, but that still seems to be too much of a pain. Our next thought was go to Denver for first round of the NCAA hoops tournament (in March), but tickets are more expensive and harder to come by than we thought, and we don't want to spend >$200 on tickets for something that's really just a lark.
So we nixed the March Madness idea, but still like the idea of some sporting event with a really electric atmosphere. I know people on here follow sports that I don't (soccer, rugby, ...). Can anyone think of any sporting events that would be a neat change of pace or a real lifetime must-do?
We're probably willing to go about anywhere in the US/Canada. The wedding is May 28 of next year, so we're thinking any weekend from the beginning of April through mid-May.
Thanks!
