While in San Francisco this past weekend I watched on the tv local news as the owner of the Oakland A's announced his intentions to build a new stadium. The new facility will be built without using public funds.

Returning to the New Orleans area I watched the television as Rummel High School announced their continuing efforts to build a new football facility. There is growing interest in building the new facility in Lasalle Park next to Zephyr Field. Sounds like an opportunity for Tulane to work with the Archdiocese and the parish to build a new stadium.
All well and good, but we need to avoid the stigma of playing in a high school stadium. If it's Tulane Stadium where high school games are occassionally played, fine. But we don't need to share a stadium with the Catholic League (or what's left of it).
I see your point, but we already share a facility with pros, highschool, other colleges, fishing rodeos, fairs, festivals, and garage sales.

A facility that stacks up to any 50,000 seat stadium in the nation, that is shared by Tulane (as part owner) and local high schools teams (with the Archdiocese as part owner) will not deminish the profile of Tulane as long as Tulane's presence by on field and stadium markings, banners and othe monuments can be maintained. The advantages of parking and concessions alone make the proposition enticing. Throw in the strong possibility that the Saints will be leaving town in the near future, leaving behind practice facilities the equal to anything in college football today, waiting for a tenant. Those facilities are currently owned by the state and parish and could be obtained at minimal expense. Those advantages are the tip of the iceberg awaiting Tulane at Lasalle Park.
