A missed field goal in the final minutes costs UTEP the upset and their dreams of another bowl season. UTEP also had to deal with a lot of injuries including losing star running back Aaron Jones.

How many times did we hear from non-UTEP fans on here last season talk about "C-USA 4-1 in bowls"? UTEP was the only C-USA team not to win their bowl game last season and UTEP has not won a bowl game since 1967. UTEP has also lost their last six bowl games since 1967 going 0-6.

This is the bad luck in football UTEP fans have had to deal with along with constant losing seasons.

No matter who the head coach is or who is out there playing in a UTEP uniform...........it just keeps looking like that elusive UTEP bowl game win will just NEVER come.

I think it's more that we've a lot of crappy teams over the years rather than having bad luck.

I think yall haven't had a good coach over there for a while. It just seems like there are enough assistants out there that could make UTEP strong. The fan support (when winning) is there.

I have a lot of respect for UTEP you guys have the longest traveling for road games. I can only imagine what your budget is for that. Best of luck to you guys I can't say I know what the issue is but maybe a good recruiting year will turn things around.

At USM it is basketball. Understand how you feel.
