I am guessing there may be too much snow in the east/west grass lots and they won't want vehicles getting stuck or tearing up the grass trying to get unstuck. Anyone heard anything about this and what the backup options would be?

I tweeted Sean this same question last night, but haven't heard anything back as of yet.
How much snow did DeKalb get?
A lot of hard work will be needed to get the field and the seats cleared for Tuesday night, not to mention for the IHSA finals on Friday and Saturday. Good luck, stadium crew.

Imagine trying to practice outside on Saturday, Isn't it nice for the Huskies to be able to practice without hassle inside the Chessick Center? So nice to have that.

NIU has gone from having the worst facilities in the MAC to having unbelievably nice facilities. A lot of people deserve a ton of credit for this. Great leadership from the athletic dept and some very generous gifts from alums.

This has to help with recruiting. Also, whoever did the architectural and design work integrating the Chessick practice facility with the Yordan center did an outstanding job.

I never thought that I would see anything like this at NIU.

Just to clarify, NIU has probably the best football TRAINING facilities in the MAC and among the best anywhere. Only thing left on my wish list would be outdoor practice fields.

As far as stadium facilities and fan amenities, we have a long way to go.
All the snow will be gone by HS football playoffs with temps pushing 60 degrees and rain on Thursday. Hopefully we aren't standing in snow/ice in the stadium though on Tuesday. That accelerates feet getting cold, and was not fun standing on snow/ice the entire game at Kalamazoo day after Thanksgiving last year.
Looks like we'll get a moderate warming phase above 32*F (36) on Tuesday. Maybe that melts everything away, but more likely creates more icy situations. I would imagine things on the East side are moved to the adjoining parking lots (just across the road) and that the west side is moved to the Water Tower lot or something near that. Idk!
Take in a piece of cardboard for your feet to sit on. better than Ice or concrete
Just talked to the ticket office; east side will be relocated to lot K for tomorrow. I was told all grass parking will be relocated.

If you got all the students out of the lot I bet you could fit all the West, track and Stevenson grass lot people into the paved Stevenson lot.

I hope they communicate that before game day to people who park in grass lots
They said emails will go out, but this is the ticket office we're taking about.

It looks like east lot and west lot will be able to choose between K or PS.

If I may make a suggestion...

Tailgate/party people please park in K (movie lot).

HAF tent people please park in PS (Stevenson paved lot).

The K lot is closer to the student side and is more sheltered from the wind.

The PS lot is closer to the HAF tent and less sheltered from the wind.
I don't care about the donors but keep the students out of lot k. To much trash etc from their party then don't even go to the game

Yeah because the college football atmosphere is for you, not the students.
