Purdue maybe the best team we face this season, and a win against them would be amazing.

Are you Blaine Taylor? 04-cheers

Good one, but no, just call me shorty.
I'm going to be camping in the middle of the George Washington national forest on the side of a mountain in a tent. It's a miracle that spot gets a 4g signal .... I'm bringing the Bluetooth speaker and potentially streaming this via espn3. 'Murcia

BTW, I did a test run on the watchespn app and Chromecast last night and I am glad I did. The app would not load on my phone (Droid Turbo). I had to to go back several versions and sideload version 2.3.2 (January 2015) to fine one that works. Took about an hour and a half of pure frustration and I would have missed most of the game if I tried it cold on Saturday. I recommend everyone else test it before Saturday as well. Not sure why the later versions of the app are incompatible with such a relatively new phone running on Android 5.

I have a chromecast and almost never use it. of all the streaming devices out there I think its the worst. I've never had an issue with roku or apple TV running the espn app.
Interesting. I have the opposite experience. I love my Chromecast, and it seems to perform the best of any of my streaming devices.

well, my apple tv runs off of an Ethernet cable instead of wifi and that makes a difference. roku is off of wifi and works better for me (more stable, less buffering, etc) than chromecast.

also, does anyone know how quick the turn around time is for espn3 to post the replay of games? is it immediate (like right after the game ends) or do I have to wait?

My issue wasn't the Chromecast. The app wasn't running on my phone.

Guys, just use a laptop and plug an HDMI cable into your TV. Easy peasy :-)

I've used ESPN3/WatchESPN for years on my phone, laptop, and Roku. It's always worked great on all devices except on one of my laptops it lags a little.
I love my roku. Ethernet cable going into it so everything is nice and smooth. That combined with an HDMI to my desktop make for a great entertainment system.
You guys speaking Greek to me. I'll check the score on ScoreCenter every once in a while!

Thank God. I thought I was alone on this.

94.1 f.m. works just fine for me, and I can even wander around the house and listen, without being tied to a stationery screen.

Stationary screen? WatchESPN goes with you. On a phone or a tablet. It is glorious. Why listen to Ted Alexander and his terrible pbp when you can watch the game live from anywhere in this great country?

My kids have moved out, and this old dog ain't learning any new tricks. Ted Alexander (spheroids, bagged dresses and all) is just fine by me.
Ted at least knows who we are. ESPN will know Trey Freeman and that we are Virginia Dominican most likely. Plus every time I watch the Monarchs on TV out of conference they lose. Every time. Would hate to jinx it for you guys who are staring at your 3 inch phone screen!

ahh, and here is the beauty of ESPN3. It streams so easily on to a TV, that it's just like tuning in to a normal TV channel. I wish the ODU app and that ASN had the same capabilities.
