There is no way of knowing who is"hot" unless that person actually gets some carries. DJM has 2 carries in the last 2 games. How about giving him a chance to see what he can do?
Its almost impossible to play 3 backs. If a back or any player sits too long they lose their groove. DMJ is a good back but he has been odd man out.
I'd be thrilled to see more DJM carries at the expense of pass plays.

DJM is a good RB. He should have more carries. Don't understand why he seems to be number four???

This is a nice article but I cant disagree more that we have gone with who is hot. In fact there have been spurts when we abandoned it just when it was working so well, probably because we thought the run game as opening up the pass. Several games we were crushing it with he run game and then went with pass pass pass even on short third downs only to have over-throws or drops.

I'm beginning to wonder if Candle could coordinate a horse shoe match.
Hot hand? Then why did Hunt basically disappear for 2 quarters the other night after having a strong 1st quarter? He should get 20 carries tomorrow night, with Swanson & Jones-Moore giving him a break.

Now we just need some guys named Matt and Jason to buy into the deram
in the trenches where the game will be won. UT must establish ball control with their superior ground game. keep pushing them back with the occasional 15-20 yard design pass play. Get the tight end very much involve in the game.
Then, got to hope for a Western victory as well.

Yes, he was looking good too, like one of those nights where he may get better as the game progressed. We were saying "Where is Hunt? Is Kareem hurt?" Then, they finally put him back in. And, with help from the O-line, he moves us briskly down the field for that much needed TD. This next game is huge. It's time to see Hunt get the carries he deserves. So, if he is indeed "hot", give him the damn ball so we can witness this theory on the field. In fact, if the running game is hot, stick with the running game!
I hope the coaches took note to how Indiana rode their hot running game right over top of one of the countries better run defenses this past Saturday. IU rushed for 18 plays straight against UM, and then decided to pass...bad idea
