Now that the home FB schedule is done, does anyone know when the conversion work on Nippert to convert it to soccer begin? I can't imagine that it will be long if they want the stadium ready for the Spring...

Practice and any bowl prep can take place at the Bubble and the Sheakley facility, I would think.
I thought I read at the end of 2016 football season. The inaugural FCC season will be played on the field as it is now, I believe.
Why isn't Elder vs. Colerain there?
Well this is why I asked the question.

President Ono is trying to get Elder/Colerain there. I hope they are able to. I think the real question will be, when will they start the off-season work. Will the rumors of a new sound system and scoreboard be true, and work starts on that this week?
The fact that it's not at Nippert is stupid. Mason holds what, 6500 people? It would be different if you were talking about two smaller programs, but this is Elder and Colerain. Does the OHSAA not recall some of the Colerain vs. Elder games there in the past? Huge crowds.

Edit: I know the OHSAA has moved games to Nippert in the past when fans complained and tickets sold out, so here's to hoping that happens again.
Do we still at least have a mathematical shot at hosting the AAC Championship game?
I don't think Navy or Houston can lose enough games in two weeks to make that happen.
It's certainly reasonable to believe UC could win out, although my degree of confidence this season is relatively low. That said, it's going to take a few upsets around the conference to get to the CCG. I do believe that one or two more wins may have a positive impact on the quality of the bowl. Will the AAC try to stick it to UC on the bowl selection process? We'll soon know and the conspiracy theorists among us will have yet another data point.

Yep. Neither can. The AAC West will host the CCG.

We have to beat USF first. This is not going to be an easy victory. I don't know how many people realize it but our defense is severely thin right now We were already banged up and now we had a couple more guys go down Saturday. We were playing guys in positions they were not playing at the start of the season.

For those that listened to Chick Ludwig post game we are playing freshmen on defense the staff planned to red shirt at the beginning of the year

See, at this point I would not be burning the red-shirts. I know that some of you are pulling for an AAC-East title, but the odds for that are so long and, to be honest, completely outside of our control anyway. We could do everything right from this moment on and still not have a shot at the East title past this week (if Temple wins).

We're bowl eligible. The quality of the bowl we go to will not vary widely either way. Don't hurt the future for something very marginal.

I think for some position groups it is not possible. Our secondary, especially, is so far depleted we are sticking guys out there that weren't playing back there earlier in the season.

I'm trying to recall who was on the field Saturday in the secondary. Edwards, Payne, Clements, Tyson, Pinckney, Stephens and Gilbert. I'm trying to recall if I saw Alex Thomas at all?
Thomas did not play. You left out Jared Evans who played quite a bit. Plus Tshumbi Johnson has been practicing at DB.

You are right. Evans played a lot, totally forgot about him. Someone in our group asked where Tshumbi was at Saturday, didn't realize he was moved to DB. But I didn't see him at all Saturday.
Jerry, Chick Ludwig's point was that due to injuries the staff has had to play players they had planned to redshirt this year.
Per Tubs' post game press conference, Pinckney was practicing at WR 2 months ago. Due to attrition and injury at DB, he has been pulling guys over from the other side of the field.
Back to the OP, UC offered to host the Elder/Colerain game rent free Saturday, but the OSHAA said no.
