It was announced today that Penn State has extended the contract of head coach Joe Paterno for 4 years, through the 2008 season. After being questioned if he should return, I guess this is a resounding way to say that JoePa will be sticking around. I thought he should stay around for a few more seasons - we'll see if 4 is good enough or too much. I'm just glad he'll be around until I graduate.

This is a very interesting and surprising move. I thought they and he would wait to see what happened after this season before deciding what happened. If Penn State returns to top 25 material, then I would love to see JoePa stick around and coach a winning team. But if they continue to struggle, this will just hurt him more.
