The first of 2 rounds of the Emerald Coast Classic starts at Bartow Monday. Food trucks will be on the scene starting 6pm. Students will have a $10 credit to use at the 3 trucks on the scene: Full Moon BBQ, iCantina & Jump Asian Express.

Students will also have a wing eating competition at 6:30. This could be a fun mini-tailgate with chairs & coolers, nothing fancy-No cookout or tents.

3 Alabama State guards had half of their 85 points in their victory on the road against another Emerald Coast Classic participant Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Will Full Moon be available to normal humans?
Curious as to why the BlazerTalk tailgating didn't start with this game? I understand we all have jobs and lives so please don't think I'm being a jerk. The athletics department is really pushing a tail gate tonight that will include food trucks and activiities for students. Seems like it would have been a good night to get us all out having a fun pregame.

I think some people are doing some limited tailgating, chairs & coolers, perhaps just not the full-blown tent setups with grills.

Awesome! I'm definitively planning on being down there.

You hit the nail on the head. Just speaking for me sometimes it's all I can do to get there for week night games. I sometimes drive four hours round trip depending on where I am at each game. A lot of us have more time on the weekends.

Correct - I work nights & since I do most of the cooking/organizing for our tailgates that's why we normally don't do weekday tailgates unless I take off. It takes more time than you might think to do our tailgates but it has to be worth that time w/ enough people showing & most people will only have enough time to show for tipoff. It just so happened that I ended up taking off tonight but it was such short notice that I couldn't put something together for an organized BT tailgate. A few of us BT'rs are meeting at Rocky's pizza pregame though.

Thanks for clarifying and thank you for all you do. I'm going to go up there around 6:30. Hope to see ya'll there after Rocky's!
I'll see you guys at the game. Two hour trip for me today after work.
So are the food trucks available to all, or students only?
"students dine free using a $10 credit at any food truck"

iCantina was telling them they only got $10 for every TWO students ($5 apiece). Many were upset. I did not blame them: that's not what the advert says, and it's not a good way to bring that student crowd back to games.
Fortunately, you can get a pretty decent snack on $5 at Cantina. Full moon also ran out of food. Bad call last night, but at least the student crowd was super rowdy!
