First of all our guys will ABSOLUTELY not overlook this game. It's our last home game of the season, senior night, gonna be a very emotional game for the seniors who have endured the past 3 years...I think you're gonna see another beat down by the eagles. The bye week before this past game vs Rice allowed our guys some quality time to rest up, catch their breath and it couldn't have happened at a better time. That showed in the Rice game. Eagles win big in this one. Your score prediction? Mine:

I don't agree with you about "no respect." Nobody on our board is expecting us to waltz into The Rock and come away with a victory unless something absolutely unpredictable happens. We are getting better, but are still 2+ years away from competing for a CUSA title.

I don't know where this comes from but I picked y'all to cover against Rice in BlazerNation and I will be doing the same this week. You all have a helluva QB there in Mullens. I'd expect y'all to be one of the favorites next season to win the league.

I've not noticed any disrespect from any ODU fans on this board. Can we go ahead and NOT let this thread turn into "that" thread. Let's talk football. I predict ODU's run defense will not be able to stop the Richard/Smith combo and therefore our play action will open up and Thomas, Martin, and Co. will gash their secondary. Your thoughts on the game?

I am not expecting a Monarch Victory and at the same time not expecting another brutal beat down from southern miss like what they did to Rice as some one stated in another thread. Playing at the rock ain't easy especially with the resurgence of golden eagles but Monarchs offense seems to have found some life under Washington as QB. I am going with a 55-28 Southern Miss victory

I hope for a better result than this, however against such a quality opponent as USM, on the road, I would not be disheartened with something close to this.

During our current 4 game win streak we've outscored our opponents 175-43 so an average score of 43-11. ODU has been outscored 149-108 over their last 4 games. I think the spread will go to 23 or so before Saturday.

USM should give us a sound beating and with this game being at home and senior nigh they probably will but since I'm a shameless homer I'm going with a 38-35 ODU win after Wilder goes for it on every 4th down and does nothing but onside kicks all game and wins on a last minute field goal.

He has against Savanah St in 2010, insides kick to open the game and I wouldn't be surprised to see it in this game.

i expect an ODU team to show up ready to introduce themselves to the Rock and USM. I just want a win. It might not be as easy to get as some seem to think.

As bad as our special teams are, we might as well try an onsides kick on every kick off. We usually end up with better field position, even if we don't recover.

I like Southern Miss in a 31-17 type ball game ODU is playing better lately and for bowl eligibility

Well, our coach has praised you guys all year long and most on our bowl had you guys as a very improved team and certainly bowl bound.
