C-USAT is a bag full of cats, so if we could effectively punch our ticket beforehand that would be great. MT is poison yo

Yeah, but our conference mates did quite well against DII and DIII teams.

Yeah, but our conference mates did quite well against DII and DIII teams.

We can't gloat too much. Niagara will be lucky to end the season in the top 300 and we didn't play very well. They might have had a chance to beat us if that local guy not to be named didn't transfer. We have work to do and a am a little concerned about Buffalo if our 3 suspended guys don't play again.

Buffalo lost a ton. If we can't beat them we don't have much to be excited about. I'm confident ODU will win that game.

My prediction, just like the CAA, the ultimate fall of the current CUSA will be because of basketball. Don't tell that to Trailer Park Tech.

UAB losing to Auburn is rough. Auburn was picked 10th in the SEC. That's a bad loss. I really hope they don't repeat last year: crap the bed OOC and then turn it on at the end of the season. That does the conference no favors

Thankfully, we have a favorable CUSA schedule. UAB, MTSU, UTEP only once in Norfolk. WKU home and away. The rest all are all games that we should win. I hope we win the regular season, and the tournament.

The problem is, it's going to be tough to pick up quality wins if the entire rpi of the conference blows.

Even handling our own business won't matter if we can't pick up any top 100 wins in conference.

ODU needs to win the CUSA tournament, and make at least a Sweet 16 run. I fear that basketball may never rise to the level of even good in this conference. A new stadium and some NCAA wins would make ODU even more attractive for an AAC move if any opens should occur. Our last move was for football, our next, if there is one, should be as much for basketball.

Gonna have to stack the OOC with quality opponents and then make like Wichita State for the conference games if we want to move the dial at all for the selection committee. Winning the C-USAT gets us in for sure, but it is far from a sure thing.

We just need to win the cusa tournament and set things right with uab for once.

Conference USA Basketball is terrible. ODU, UAB and Charlotte are the only C-USA team that don't play a DII school everyone else either plays one or multiple DII schools. Also of the whole conference besides ODU, UAB is the only school that has a win over a DI opponent which was Alabama St. (Alabama St did beat VT). I cannot believe C-USA is really that bad, its so pathetic.
