A salute to those of you who have served our country as a member of our armed services. Please know that those of us who have not had that honor remember the sacrifices of you and your family along with those of your brothers and sisters who can only be honored in memory. Thank you for your service.

Yes, thank you Veterans! You are appreciated!
Ditto, thank you for your service Veterans!
My thanks to all who served, and particularly to those who paid the ultimate price in defense of freedom.

My personal thanks to my great grandfather, Samuel Wilson Beckett, CSA, who fell in defense of Atlanta, and my first cousin, Robert Rodney Beckett, USMC, KIA aboard the USS Houston in the Battle of Java Sea, WWII.

We thank them and all who have and continue to serve. I have guys back to the Revolutionary War to my nephew who has been in the Marines for the past 12 years. One WWI casualty (grandmother's cousin) but my husband has
James DeMore, USA, Fredericksburg - great great grandfather
Thomas DeMore, USA, Normandy - uncle and namesake
Kenneth DeMore, USA, Vietnam - cousin once removed
and 2 brothers of his maternal great grandfather Ridgway (both CW)

We both have so many that have served I lose count. Veteran's and Memorial Days are special to me. Always have been.
Thanks !
