I'm guessing it has something to do with the student center. It's supposed to open soon. Hopefully, it will be a new stadium. I like to set the bar low and be surprised when something really good happens.

The student center doesn't look very close to opening. I drive past it every day.
Tone "the Bone" keep saying stadium... you all know that he is the ultimate insider.
It doesn't seem that the news would be advertising a press conference that plans to announce a building that everyone already knows about (student center). I would think this is something bigger

I noticed that. CBC kept getting it wrong too by saying UAB got a new stadium. Apparently with news these days accuracy doesn't matter.

Which station was it?
I contacted the Hill Student Center twitter page last Friday Nov. 6th about its opening date & they replied " It should be open in the next few weeks! Stay tuned!".
Could be the in-principle promise that UAB has committed to being a long term Tennant of a BJCC area stadium/facility
Ingram was just on WERC talking new football building.
I would bet it's follow-up to both the Football Facility & UAB Athletic Foundation news from last week.

Pretty sure it includes the phrase "strategic plan."
