Well that's that. 07-coffee3
That lateral was unbelievable. The announcer was so stupid saying they were reviewing who touched the ball first on the lateral.

Yes, the lateral is close to being up there with how MSU beat Michigan. Absolutely crazy play in a crazy game.
SEC has not looked impressive. Shame Toledo lost because that Ark win is looking better.

Arkansas of the first 4 weeks of the season and Arkansas of the last 4 weeks have been two entirely different teams with respect to execution.

The same thought crossed my mind.

Arkansas is an improving team. They could be a trap game for LSU in a few weeks.

Actually if Mississippi State wins out (Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss), and LSU loses to Alabama and Ole Miss, there will be a 3-way 6-2 atop the SEC West (assuming Alabama beats Auburn) that will lead to Mississippi State playing in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.

Not sure if an 11-2 SEC Champion Mississippi State makes the playoff or not.
As the lone Ole Miss fan that I know of on this board, let me just say !$&@/#! Losing to Memphis State was bad enough, but losing to the Pigs on a fourth and 25 lateral and a facemask penalty on the first two-point try makes me want to throw up. The coaches blew this though by playing soft off coverage all night and failing to make adjustments. The talent on this team is so much better than 7-3. This just sucks.

Add to that that TCU got their butts handed to them, and Arizona State got beat, I'd bet heavily on LSU getting beat by Alabama and a Kansas comeback over Texas to make my Saturday a complete bust.
Doomsday scenario is now in the hands of Florida. Need them to win the SECCG.

That won't matter either if they beat the Noles.

It might not even need FSU. The way UF played today, it wouldn't shock me if SC beat them.
Arkansas could finish 6-2 in the SEC West by beating LSU, Mississippi State, and Missouri. If Mississippi State or Auburn beats Alabama, all 3 of Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas would finish 6-2 in the SEC West.
Those are the plays, the 4th down in OT, that make college football so much fun to watch.

Especially when it isn't your team being victimized.
Ah, but Big 10 Doomsday Scenario's suddenly materialize! Nebraska beats Iowa, Michigan State beats Ohio State, or Michigan beats Ohio State, and the likelihood of getting a Big 10 entrant suddenly takes a nosedive.

1. To make that happen Clemson would have to win out. (Likely)

2. Alabama with 1 loss would have to meet and beat Florida with one loss. (More likely than not)

3.Oklahoma State wins out and Oklahoma continues to win until Bedlam and suddenly the winner is likely to get in. Oklahoma gets in if they win because they are national brand and Okie State gets in if they win because of the past infamous snub. (Quite Possible, but neither likely nor unlikely)

4. The winner of Stanford and Notre Dame remains with only one loss for the season. (Possible for Stanford, Likely for Notre Dame)

Now the Big 10 should Ohio State and Iowa both lose a game would find itself in a hard spot.
Some Ole Miss fans were not classy. Calling 911 to have Arkansas's qb arrested was not very smart.

2 of the things in your scenario for the Big Ten don't have to happen. Nebraska beating Iowa or Michigan St beating Ohio St. If Ohio St beats Michigan St, Michigan beats Ohio St(giving them division title)- and Michigan beats Iowa- Big Ten is gone. Do not think a 1 loss Ohio St team gets in w/o the Big Ten title. And don't think 2 loss Michigan team has any shot at all.

Well Texas won so it wasn't a total bust for you. Your Rebels have the same problem my Tigers have. Our coaches aren't well seasoned yet at this level. They still make some impulsive decisions about how they use their talent. It's cost Ole Miss, and it has cost Auburn as well. A few more years and hopefully they both learn to be more patient and confident in their plays and their personnel.

Well, the Ole Miss offense was incredible. They just scored too quickly. At one point Arkansas held something like a 38-14 time of possession advantage. The Pigs would take 10 plays to score and the Rebels would take four. The defense was just on the field the whole game. But I agree that the coaches did not put the players in the best position to succeed. I kept thinking that the defensive coaches would make adjustments, but it never happened and Arkansas continued to take the wide open pass in the flats and march it down the field. They made an average quarterback look like an all-pro.

The Texas win is a mixed bag. A couple more losses and I would think they'd make the coaching changes I believe they need to make. Win too many and they'll probably keep the same guys who apparently are getting outcoached weekly and don't seem to be a threat to anyone on the recruiting trail. Even when Auburn has a hiccup of a down year, they still recruit with the best, so the talent level doesn't drop off too badly. The same used to be true with Mack Brown's staff, but no longer.

I realize that I am replying to someone with limited mental capacity, but surely you understand the concept of humor?
